X-Ray Laboratory

The X-Ray Laboratory of the State Research Center L. Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry employs highly qualified scientific personnel and operates one of the most powerful in Russia unique set of modern X-ray diffractometers both for single crystal (Syntex-P1, Nicolet-P3, Enraf-Nonius CAD4) and powder diffraction (URD, Germany).

The laboratory is capable to perform all kinds of X-ray analytical jobs for any powder mixtures including both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Also we can solve the crystal and molecular structures of any single-crystalled substances including new natural products.
The experiments can be done at different temperatures (both low and high). Besides the laboratory staff is engaged in methodical research in X-ray analysis, crystallography and crystal chemistry. A precision electron density distribution analysis is also possible. We have elaborated our own experimental programs (profile analysis, thermal diffuse scattering etc.) which could be available upon request.

    The
bona fide  members of the International Union of Crystallography might be involved in the teaching students and trainees all the kinds of X-ray analysis and chemical and physical crystallography.
