research for more than 25 years in crystal chemistry and X-ray structure
analysis of organic, organoelemental and coordination compounds. Also have been
engaged in the theoretical organic crystal chemistry, molecular packing modes,
intermolecular interaction energy calculations, statistical treatment of
organic structures distribution by the types of the crystal organization (space
groups, structural classes).
USSR State Prize in Science and Technology winner (1990). Have published over
400 papers and 3 books. A member of IUCr Comission on Structural Chemistry
since 1996. Plenary lecturer at XVII-th Congress of International Union of
Crystallography, Seattle, USA, 1996.
